ACTS OF AWESOMENESS

If I can be awesome every single day of 2013,
I'll be super stoked for having help contribute to the Universe!

Self Portrait by Steph Cortés
THE MISSION
To create something or do an ACT of AWESOMENESS EVERY SINGLE DAY in 2013 to help better the Universe and battle against PERPETUAL POOPINESS!

THE HUMAN
Steph Cortés of nerd JERK has often been described as an AWESOME HUMAN. She's been known to help lots of other humans (usually completely strangers, often good friends) turn their frowns right side up.
At the start of this project, she is 29 years old. She will have created as much AWESOMENESS as possible by the time she's halfway through 30.

THE REASON
In order to fight the wide spread epidemic of PERPETUAL POOPINESS in the world these days, she's going to dedicate at least 1 hour each day in 2013 to creating more AWESOMENESS in the UNIVERSE.
Additionally, Steph wants to truly earn her self-appointed title of HUMAN AWESOMENESS ADVOCATE by leading by example.

---
I dedicate all these ACTS OF AWESOMENESS
to the unsung geek heroes of the Universe.
---
May this inspire you to create some awesomeness
in your corner of the world.

  1. This is very inspiring! I saw your yarnbombing and I CAN'T WAIT TO START YARNBOMBING AGAIN! I haven't done it in about 9 months; get ready to be covered in yarn Austin! One of the nurses I work with said she has a bunch of yarn she is going to give me in a month so I wanna create some wacky things. I'm trying to work up the courage to approach a home owner about using their very visible fence for a long term project.
Happy New Year and I can't wait to see all the awesome stuff you are gonna do throughout the year! <3

    1. Aww, Nik! You're the sweetest!

I think it was a while back when you posted your first picture of a yarnbomb that YOU did in Austin, TX that I was first inspired so one of my own.

Then I got caught up in my life... or something. ;D

Then I got married & started building my #AWESOMEnerdnest

And now I have a trillion ideas to help my neighbourhood awesomer. :) So I'm working on making it awesomer in small ways, starting with my home.

This one started for my neighbour, as he's an Official Friend of the Urban Forest (more info at http://fuf.net/) in our area of San Francisco: Mission Terrace.

Maybe you can start by yarnbombing your door?! ;D

I hope that together, our small acts of awesomeness can end up changing our little corners of the world!

Geek ON, Nik! Thank you for being amazeballs.

      - Steph
